As a new supplier into the local market of generators we initially had reservations using a brand, HIMOINSA, unknown to us. Coupled to the fact that we were not unhappy with the existing suppliers of generators and as such the decision to use your products were not taken lightly.
Our technical team insisted that we specify DOOSAN engine generators from the HIMOINSA product range. The insistence to use DOOSAN engines was based on our excellent engine reliability, fuel consumption and cost of ownership with other DOOSAN engine products in our fleet. These include wheel loaders, excavators and generators all of which have performed admirably in very harsh conditions.
Regarding the HIMOINSA generators supplied to date. We have found the engineering, quality and reliability of the units unquestionable. A marked improvement in fuel consumption has also been noted. In addition, the HIMOINSA After Sales Team and Service Team have been quick to attend to any concerns. Services have been carried out on the HDW200-T5 in Johannesburg and the HDW400-T5 in Port Elizabeth with all parts and labour readily available. Feedback from my on-site operations teams has been very positive.

HIMOINSA was contracted to install a (rental backup power generation system at the Aspen Port Elizabeth site. From proposal to commissioning HIMOINSA’s service was professional and their ability to project manage a very complex installation outstanding. This installation required a number of stakeholders to create a customized connection to three different connection points on site.
HIMOINSA’s scope extended from design to commissioning and operational technical support. The project was completed successfully, on time and below budget. The quality and reliability of the equipment is good and installation challenges were resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
I have no reservations in recommending HIMOINSA for small and simple to large complex projects requiring multi-disciplinary teams.

With the unstable electricity supply we are encountering in South Africa; generator prices have escalated. Not having heard of HIMOINSA but knowing the names of their IVECO and YANMAR products, we asked for quotations. They were well priced and had backup support in the areas we required, so we purchased a generator from them.
